Build strategies, build confidence, build your business.

Do you have an upcoming initiative that needs to be implemented?

It can be frustrating trying to figure out where to start on a complex initiative. Or to figure out how to add another initiative to your team’s plate when they are already over stretched.

Without a strategy, resistance, burn out and loss of credibility are real threats.

The wrong timing or lack of alignment to other plans can increase resistance and burn out and make it difficult to choose how to prioritize resources or recognize when you need more.

When resources aren’t optimized or they’re prioritized in the wrong direction, you simply don’t reach your organizational objectives. Momentum on important projects can’t be maintained, you risk increased costs and loss of credibility with employees and customers.

Create a strategy that drives the behaviour needed to move your business forward.

Imagine knowing that your team:

  • is working towards the goals you have established

  • has clear measures to track their results

Or that the complex solution that you are about to roll out:

  • has been properly analyzed and planned

  • has minimal impact to productivity and customer service

Teams that are properly prepared, supported, and ready to transition with minimal disruption are able to stay productive and actively aligned.

You can enjoy peace of mind.

Working with a past client on a software implementation provides a great example of how much you can gain from strong strategic process. As we prepared for project planning, we discovered in the assessment and analysis phase that there were multiple change layers going on in teams that were directly impacted by the project.

These changes were happening in conjunction with the proposed timeline.

In addition, the project would require teams to collaborate on a whole new level, further complicating the planning phase. Revealing these factors gave the project team a realistic view of how much time and resource was actually needed.

It exposed additional risk factors that could significantly impact buy-in and resistance, as well as the level of support that would be needed to transition through each phase.

Without this information we would have stalled at critical points during implementation, resulting in negative impacts to planning and change readiness costing the client hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I worked with a small, bootstrapped business where the owner was overrun with sales and struggling to keep pace with customer service and product demand. He knew he had to grow but was unsure how to do it – he didn’t want to just add employee salaries to meet consumer demand, he already had 35 people reporting to him that he couldn’t keep up with.

He also knew he wanted to significantly change his culture.

After the assessment it was clear that the business did need to grow and could financially support the next level of growth. It was also clear that a new organizational structure was needed to make sure that cost was optimized, and employees were engaged and properly supported to do good work.

The roadmap included clear measurements so teams could see the business results they were generating, enabling them to be proactive in achieving sales targets while delivering quality service to customers. Need help with achieving your initiatives?
